About
The Long Loop Rally was born from the combination of a love of world travel, Covid border restrictions & political limitations in 2022.
Having become bored waiting for borders to open & allow an overland trip to Mongolia, we coined the Long Loop Rally based solely on what borders were open at the time & making a rediculous trip for our little cars.
As it's all in aid of charity we want to challenge our cars on treacherous roads whilst taking the opportunity to see some incredible places along the way.
There are 3 teams participating in 2022, each with their own charities they're raising funds for - check them out.
The Route
As the name suggests, there are a lot of loops
Start: UK
Continents: Europe, Asia, Africa
Countries: approx. 32 (subject to change with restrictions & generally if we fancy)
Milage: 20,000+

Rough route:
- Across Europe & as far east into Asia as is possible at the time including Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan
- Back through Turkey, down to southern Italy
- Over to Tunisia, Algeria & back to Europe (can't cross to Morrocco here)
- Southern France & Spain
- Over to Morrocco (loop)
- Back to Europe (for good measure)
- Up to Nordcap & back to the UK
